This year, Easter Bonnets will be ... plastic?
Gill's birthday today, sadly not as good weather wise as mine earlier in the week. For some fresh air and a bought and made by someone else coffee, we went to Compton Verney where the trees do provide at least some shelter from the strong breeze. The bridge sphinxes no longer wear their tartan scarves, so last season, they are moving on to their Easter bonnets which this year are a rather fetching plastic :-)
Alternative in the extra.
As we walked back over the bridge we met a couple of young (25+) lads photographing the sphinxes with medium format film cameras.
Edit - one of these was a Mamiya 67 or 645 - seriously expensive to buy now!
Gill bought herself a new sewing machine (an embellisher) for felting onto fabric pictures .... and I thought photography was a costly hobby :-)
