Flowers of my Labours

Back in October, I decided that the entrance to our little development was looking a bit uncared for so I decided to plant some bulbs either side of the entrance.  I have been hoping they would grow and bloom ever since.  As you can see, they are now in bloom and brightening things up considerably.  The council have also been along and but some new soil and grass seed around too.  I don't know whether they mow the verges or not but I hope the daffodils survive. 

It's very strange that it is still light and it is gone 7pm!
