Welcome Back, Trek.
We remodeled our main level just as the COVID lockdown started. Prior to that, our home was fair game for active grands and grand dogs. I was a bit concerned that dogie nails would leave permanent scratches on my new floors. For a year, we pampered the new “stuff”. Now that we can safely have company, I remember being with those you love is what’s really valuable. This grand dog used to stand by my daughter’s car when he heard the kids were going to Grammy’s and she usually brought him along much to my enjoyment. As far as silver lab life expectancies, he’s almost there and we love him greatly. It was wonderful having him (and our grandson) with us this weekend. We picked up the baskets I won at a virtual school auction this morning and bought breakfast carryouts to share with my mother since the school is in her neighborhood. Otherwise, we rested and read. Guess it’s time to make dinner and say thanks to God for a very special weekend. Life is way too short to put material things before family. Thanks for stopping by.
