Project 365 day 87: Hellebore

I've been looking at the hellebores for a while and wanting to photograph them, but the clump is very congested, in a gloomy corner of the garden, and they have been hanging their heads very low. Sadly, my knees no longer cope with me trying to get correspondingly low. I like the speckles on this one, which is just starting to fade, but it's not quite as sharp as I would have liked, probably because the poor light this afternoon meant the shutter speed was too low for the windy conditions.   

It was a pleasure to realise how long it remained light this evening. It will make it easier to fit in a bit of photography time in daylight.
