Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Canal Reflections

Started to let you all know about my absences due to illness but it just sounded as though I was feeling sorry for myself so the short version is, fifth week of the cough from hell, muscles pulled, short of breath and can't believe just how debilitating a cough can be! Today I decided that I would try to resume something resembling normal service and decided to take Coco for a long walk along the canal, I figured that this would be fairly easy going as all on the flat and the beagle does tend to make slow progress as she sniffs at everything she passes. Park walks have been a little boring of late as I just don't have the lung capacity to chase after her or even call her back so she's not had nearly as much off lead play as usual. It was a beautiful day and we walked for a good hour and a half which certainly helped to blow away the cobwebs.

Perhaps not one of my brighter ideas but Josh attended his second drum lesson today, the teacher says he drums like Keith Moon - I'm sure a blip illustrating this will follow. He is already asking for a drum kit, unfortunately his birthday is April, so not enough time for him to go off the idea!

All rock and roll here, treated myself to a new pair of marigolds today and they were both left hands. If anyone knows someone with two left hands let me know and I'll forward them on!
