enjoying the sun

This is Alan and Jessie; good friends and neighbours(well---500mtrs away!!)
7weeks ago Alan inadvertantly drove his car under a large lorry,and had the fire brigade ,over a couple of hours, render his car unfit for purpose! Thereafter, his first helicopter ambulance flight, of which, to his chagrin,he remembers nothing!
Just about every rib was shattered, and his black and blue torso would have been the envy of many a tatooist!
Yet here he is today,outside his house in the sun for the first time ,ready to share a joke!
About which I am hugely pleased!
And not just because Alan and I share the same warped and obscure sense of humour!
