Wood anemone

I went to St. Martins today and while I was there went to Ifton Meadows Nature Reserve.  I saw some of these beautiful wood anemones in the woodland and the first bird's eye speedwell that I've seen.  A few of the wild garlic plants were in bud too.

I spotted a pair of jays flying along together and a skylark rose from the grass singing as it went up into the sky. There's lots to see now that spring has arrived!
