Violets

Got the shopping and other tasks done in the morning leaving the afternoon free to work with P uncovering the old, sandstone steps at the back of the parish hall. The sun came out and we were sheltered from the wind. We managed to uncover the top step and part of the edging but there us still more to do. We shall return.

When I got home, the violets carpeting the ground under the arbutus caught my eye.
