The three racketeers...

A really rubbish shot, grabbed as an afterthought in the car park at the tennis club. Today was the first day of easing of lockdown restrictions in England with tennis being on the list of permitted activities. I can't describe how good it felt to totter around on court, in genuinely warm sunshine, with friends I haven't seen for months.

I'm sure we'll all ache a bit in the morning but who cares? For an hour and a half the monotonous grind of work, eat, sleep, and repeat was broken.

My only hope is that this time people will act with restraint and common sense as we ease our way out of lockdown - surely we've had too many previous setbacks to get it wrong again.

I'll be back on court on Sunday and for the record Barry (pictured left) and I prevailed in a titanic one set struggle against Julian and Nick.
