A change

Yesterday's ghastly weather gave way to a lovely sunny, cool day, with air so clear that I could see the snow on the Cascades.  It was grocery pick-up day and for once they had everything I'd asked for.

On the other hand, my frustration about finding a cat has been growing.  There are too many websites to follow and too few cats available, much less ones suitable for me (not too old, not too active, indoor only.)  The nearby shelter had just one cat yesterday who'd already been adopted by the time the waiting list to visit had opened today.  I have to figure out a way to step back a bit emotionally if I'm going to survive what is clearly going to be a long process.
