Magnolia Stellata .....

.... also known as the Star Magnolia.

I have been keeping a close eye on the two magnolia shrubs growing in the Pollok House garden. Today I spotted one or two of the blousy flowers were fully open. This one was growing on one of the bottom branches so was easier to reach with the camera.

Little or no sun today but it has been dry and fairly mild .... a great improvement on yesterday's downpours.

On my way home from Pollok I did some supermarket  shopping to keep the fridge stocked until after Easter weekend (I hope) and then some much needed weeding this afternoon.
