Tiny damson blossom
Possibly not quite tiny enough for Tiny Tuesday? But a lovely Spring sight today. The chill winds have subsided and everything in the garden has picked up speed in the warm sunshine.
Frieda's been with us today; she's still got a cold and isn't quite her usual energetic self. She was enjoying just pottering around in the house again, and today we enjoyed that classic small-child game: trying on your granny's shoes (and here I admit to a history of shoe obsession, so there was plenty of choice). Later she also persuaded Richard to play the guitar again, while she whirled around the room in delight (back in her bare feet by then, fortunately, or there might have been a few crash landings).
After I'd dropped her off at home around 3.30, I drove back and passed one of the larger local parks. It was packed - it looked like an English South Coast beach during a (pre-Covid) heatwave. I know that data analysis suggests that the risks of Covid transmission outdoors are very low. But it was an unnerving sight all the same, looking at hundreds of people crowded together.
