The birch plantation.

Much milder and less windy today so I got on with things in the garden.  The shrub I was chopping down is gone. I surprised myself by getting the roots out so I'm feeling smug.  Got rid of some very woody lavender as well and tidied part of the wild border.  By that time my knee was in a huff so I came in and bought a few more seeds. I expect I'll have too many but I can never resist.
In the afternoon I posted my Easter cards, collected my medication from the chemist and bought milk and nibbles at the Pillars.  Then I went to Gravelpit Wood to see how the birch plantation was doing.  Only the tiniest hint of green on the buds. I'll go back in a while to see if there is any progress.
