Flowering currant in the garden
Fabulous day. Hottest March day for 53 years apparently.
Our much awaited reunion happened. The ladies arrived about 12.45 and left at 4.15. We drank our toast with nibbles to Moira and reminisced on all the happy and funny times we had with her, as she was the one who started Tuesday lunches. We managed to find enough to talk about! It was so nice to see people face to face (socially distanced of course) and all bemoan the fact that we needed haircuts. Although we have e-mailed each other every week it has not been the same. The world has now been put to right.
Just had time to get ready, after they had gone, to keep an appointment at the surgery for an ECG. I rang this morning, as requested by my GP and the phone was answered straight away and I was given a cancelled appointment. The GP discussed the result with a colleague and she is going to refer me to cardiology for an appointment 'this year'! I will not hold my breath.
Needless to say I am now feeling a bit tired, but everything has been tidied away after a very exciting day.
No2 son celebrated his 56th birthday today. I told him it was a hot day with plenty of sunshine when he was born but he couldn't remember it!
