Egg on my face

This, dear reader, is the filling of a home made quiche, on top of my cooker. Feeling a touch domesticated this evening, I made the pastry (wholemeal), I roasted the vegetables, blind baked the pastry case and whisked up the filling. I didn't notice a small hole in the pastry case or realise that the flan case shouldn't have had a re-moveable base. The result, after pouring in the filling, is shown here. I baked the quiche regardless - eggless. It will be an interesting tea tomorrow.
