Blink & they're gone..
We knew the approximate route & time, so there was a chance we'd see them from the garden. They were actually to the west of us, & by the time the camera (hindered by the response time of its operator, of course) had locked on they were going behind the tree. At least the leaves aren't out yet.
The purpose of this outing was a flypast of the Runnymede Air Forces Memorial to mark the centenary of the Royal Australian Air Force. In less than an hour they were back at RAF Scampton again - they don't hang about for photos..
