Over the hill

Another great day to get out in the sunshine. This shot was taken on a walk along the valley from Ripley to Hampsthwaite. The village is just over the hill in this image, although I liked this view of the disappearing tracks instead. We have never explored this path before before and it felt like we were miles from anywhere as it was so peaceful. 
After sandwiches and a coffee in Hampsthwaite, we came back along the other side of the river Nidd and past Ripley Castle. Today's extra shot is a view taken above head height over the castle wall (the grounds are currently closed) showing the daffodils on the banks of the lake.
