I was deep in thought on our morning walk when Laney suddenly stopped with hackles up. When I looked up I saw that the path had taken us right into the middle of a herd of mule deer. We had two bucks and a doe to our left, and two doe to our right. The bucks were none too pleased and stood their ground. Since everyone was standing stock still I thought it was a perfect time to take a photo! This is the doe that was with the bucks, she was the most photogenic.
