There seem to be a few magnolia flower posts today - my twist on the theme is that these are the only two flowers on the whole tree this year after we had to have it pollarded back in December because it had totally outgrown the space. These are all the more welcome because of their rarity.  

I'm happy to say I have spotted one or two other signs of regrowth on the tree today as well. I have spoken to it sternly about not getting too big this time and I could swear I heard it whisper 'la la la I'm not listening' (but perhaps I imagined that).
