Pole Dancer
We went to a Café Scientifique lecture tonight, put on by the Auckland Museum Institute. It was on the subject of dark matter, dark holes and gravitational forces. A very interesting talk with lots of good questions in the Q&A session. The speaker was Professor Richard Easter, whose research focuses on understanding the origin and evolution of the universe.
While we waited for the bus, we observed this dancing figure, which was lit up and changed in colour from pink to green to blue. What it was there for was unclear, but it amused us for a minute or two.
