The lightning tree

Drove over to Embleton to collect a few trays of free range eggs on the way to Workington today, and ran across the road to get a shot of this tree - clearly struck by lightning sometime in its past. I have been watching this tree for some years, waiting for that hazy day when it stands out enough from it's background to isolate it a little from it's surroundings, whilst still keeping the fells in the distance recognisable.

Not too bad an effort - will keep trying.
