Common Periwinkle
I spent some time this morning, online, trying to renew our senior railcards. In the end I gave up, as it wanted a passport photograph. A sign of the times maybe with lots of people being deceitful and fraudulently using someone else’s railcard. When I go to Cambridge after Easter I will get a leaflet, and buy it that way.
Today’s picture is of a small purple flower which is a Common Periwinkle; also known as the Lesser Periwinkle, Dwarf Periwinkle or Creeping Myrtle. It is much smaller in size and a deeper purple than the Vinca Minor. I noticed it growing in one of our borders, but do not recall seeing it before.
The temperature at GMT noon was twelve degrees Celsius.
