Blackthorn Blossom

The weather certainly improved by lunchtime and we enjoyed some lovely sunshine ..... not warm enough to be without a jacket but pleasant enough to enjoy a sandwich and a coffee in the park.

Pollok Park is coming alive with colour as the blossom has just burst forth. This is blackthorn, a shrub which has a stunning display of white flowers before the leaves start to show.
