Sun, Mist and Contrail

I noticed the Sun shining like a silver ball through the morning mist while I was out in our back garden this morning, and immediately hurried down to The Green to photograph it there. While I was still in the garden I also noticed the contrail overhead, but thought no more of it at the time. It was only when I reached The Green that the whole scene came together, as the rising Sun passed through the contrail as it slowly started to disperse.
