Not A Foolish Heron

I made the hot cross buns today because my son-in-law likes to have one for breakfast on Good Friday. Lovely to see my daughter and granddaughter who came over to collect them. They brought us a delicious beef stew.

Sadly the Maundy Thursday service where the Queen distributes the money has been cancelled again. It is April Fools' Day but I've had my head down so it has passed me by.

I photographed Jack Heron as he took off from the gum tree on the island in the lake. He's not a foolish heron like the one in the story as he doesn't have black snakes and mongooses to deal with in this country.
