Down on the beach

A quiet day today sorting stuff out at home as the weather started out fairly dull and colder.  We decided however to go for a walk in the late afternoon when it brightened up.  The wind had died down and it was fairly warm.  We headed to the beach where the tide was out revealing this line of rocks.  There were a fair number of people out enjoying the weather and a stroll or  sitting in groups chatting over a cup of tea, sitting in groups on the pebbles watching the sea and even a BBQ underway at the end.  We decided to walk up the river to White Bridge where we watched two courting swans, see extra.
