A Day At A Time.

Resurrection

I know it's a few days early, but I have managed to breathe new life into a late-2008 MacBook Pro, which was destined for the bin, and perform my own little miracle for Easter.

This iteration of the MacBook Pro was about the last that Apple produced that was easily upgradable. All it took was 8GB of 1067 MHz DDR 2 RAM that I had lying around, a new battery for 25 euros, two SSD drives connected as a striped RAID 0 array to triple read/write speed and the installation of Mac OS 10.14.5 using dosdude1´s installation patcher to get around Apple's non-support of anything newer than El Capitan.

Easy.

It wasn't rocket science, after all.
