Blackthorn

OMG, what a beautiful day! A slightly chilly start then warm and gorgeous. The blokes arrived early and power washing commenced - see extra. Happy in his work! General tidying up, washing down and first coat applied to the new render.

We've worked hard in the garden, me clearing a huge area of bracken and Himself sorting out his workshop. The sheep and lambs arrived in the field next door and there are bees and butterflies everywhere - 2 orange tips, a very very small blue one and two peacocks. The blackthorn is out, swathes of white blossom.

We've been watching a really excellent series Ride upon the Storm -Danish;  loosely about faith/power/love/family, with terrific performances. It's the last episode tonight,and fittingly Good Friday, as I think the son will be sacrificed to the father's madness! Written and produced by those who made Borgen, also fantastick! All4.
