Good Friday

It was windy and cloudy this morning, but as the day has progressed it has turned into a beautiful day with sunshine all day - although that wind is cold when in the shade. We went for a walk in the woods with Xena, and it was surprisingly quieter than it has been on previous weekends. Maybe people have broken Covid rules and gone away?

We usually are in Switzerland at Easter for some late season skiing, and earlier this year we had planned to go thinking that by the time April came we would be allowed to go - no such luck! We are getting a little concerned about our home there as we have not been there for so long and we hope all is okay, no leaks or other problems. Besides Brits not being allowed to travel at the moment due to UK Covid rules, Switzerland does not allow UK visitors at all at the moment as we are classified a 'high risk country' which is a bit ridiculous as that is not true anymore. Besides, we are all getting vaccinated at an astounding rate and Switzerland is being as useless as the EU at getting their vaccination program going. 

I am so enjoying all the new flowers and blossoms in my garden at the moment - apologies for yet another flower shot but the blossoms are all so seasonal and they only last for a couple of weeks and then it is over for another year, so I enjoy them while I can. In the extra Xena was walking around the garden with me while I was looking at the new tulips.

The weather looks better than initially expected, we may be able to eat outside on Easter Sunday after all!
