Tortoiseshell Butterfly!

10°C  -  14 mph S Wind Speed  -  17 mph Gusts  -  Sunny day.  A lovely day gardening and chatting to neighbours.  Spotted three Tortoiseshell Butterflies and one Bumblebee  -  one Butterfly stayed for quite a long time  -  see my main Blip.  I have chosen the Extra because you can see its Proboscis quite clearly feeding off the Scilla Siberica.  The Proboscis is quite a complicated mouthpiece capable of more than just collecting nectar and pollen  -  see this link if you're interested.
