Out for a walk...

... on this sunny afternoon, I spotted a red kite flying close by.

In those circumstances, I had to try for a shot. This was my best effort - but there is always room for improvement. 

In this case, it would have been good to have my longer lens with me - but I would have had to carry a much heavier bag, and a monopod, on a rather warm afternoon.
