Flower tower
Another gorgeous day today, tho' all change for tomorrow apparently, as we seem to be due a week of unsettled weather, wet and windy, generally Aprily.
Had a good walk down town to the pier for the fish this morning and later took this picture of prunus blossom against a backdrop of McCaig's Tower while waiting for Mrs M outside Tesco's. I intended to have an afternoon in the garden. Did some potting and top-dressing of pots, sowed my monkey puzzle seeds and divided some of my Narcissus cyclamineus to swap with a neighbour down the road for some other miniature narcissus. I had also promised a replacement Geranium palmatum for her daughter, as the one I gave her last year died during the winter. They seed about in various pots on my deck. Set off for a ten-minute stroll with my plants and returned more than an hour later, having been detained by another couple of neighbours. That's what it's all about!
Quote of the Day:
William Hazlitt – “The way to get on in the world is to be neither more nor less wise, neither better nor worse than your neighbours.”
