The Rec

When walking the dog this afternoon, we came across a football match on the rec.  So ordinary, yet it seemed astonishing as I've not seen the rec being used like this so for so long.  

I thought my days standing at the side-lines of  football matches was long gone.  But we found ourselves dawdling along watching the footie action once again.
