I was having my breakfast this morning and heard a thud outside the window. I looked up and saw a heap of feathers flying up. A sparrowhawk had caught a pigeon. It landed in the lane so I went to the back door and managed to get a few photos while putting out of my mind what was happening to the poor pigeon! I was very chuffed about this photo. It's thin because I cropped off the bars of the fence. There is a whole photo in the extras!
