A bit of a mystery

This is Chobham Gospel Hall. I don't recall ever seeing it in use in the 30 years I have lived in the village. It looks derelict but I am told that a local family owns it and uses it for private functions. That may be a village equivalent of an urban myth. It's the sort of place I would have wanted to explore with my pals as a boy and imagine all sorts of Just William type mysteries and adventures about it. Given the value of land in Chobham I'm surprised it hasn't been built on, but it is a rather small plot hemmed in at the front of houses so probably not much of a development prospect!
