SilS235 and Sights from my Bike Ride
My Silly Saturday blip is the extra today. Poor Jerry has been patiently waiting for quite a while for Natalie to finish packing the camper. Notice his license plate. :-) Today is the first Saturday of the month and I am hosting the challenge in remembrance of Admirer. I look forward to seeing all your entries and will try to award hearts by mid week.
It was a warm, cloudless day with a light breeze, perfect riding weather. I wore shorts for the first time in about 6 months. Sunscreen was applied but I still got a little pink. I rode 34 miles.
Top Row: Killdeer standing in a field. I spotted it and stopped and then realized there were several in different places in the field. They nest on the ground so they were probably protecting their eggs or hatchlings.
A tribute to the victims of the mass shooting in Boulder on March 21st.
Northern Shoveler.
Middle: SUP (stand-up paddleboard) on Union Reservoir.
Mt. Meeker and Longs Peak
It was so good to see the park full of tiny soccer players and their parents! Adults were all masked but otherwise it seemed a return to normal.
Bottom: Red-tailed Hawk
For the record. :-)
Song Sparrow.
Thank you to everyone for your visits and stars and hearts!
I am grateful for the years I had with my wonderful Uncle Sammy. It is his birthday today. He would have been 96. He's been on my mind all day.
