Night Owls

I would love to say I'm a night owl - it sounds so much more glamorous - but I'm a bona fide early bird. I'm normally up and about well before 7 am and run out of gas a long time before being in the midnight hour (the Wilson Pickett song is playing in my head as I'm typing this!).
However, there is something I love about being outside before most people are even out of bed (I love an early morning run or walk). There is a sense of peace and having a little bit of the world to yourself before all the hustle and bustle starts.
Today's image is of a Kerzenfarm tea light holder, made in Northern Germany, which I bought from a shop in Rye in East Sussex. I would like to give the impression that it was shot in a studio in full blackout but it was taken kneeling on my stairs with a dark blue hoodie as the background trying not to fall backwards and took at least six attempts before I even had any kind of image!
