Hot non-demoninational Buns

I can hear you laughing!  This is my first attempt at hot non-denominational buns and it was a steep learning curve.  Tony thinks they look like potatoes!  Points to remember just in case I ever try them again: they don't need as long in the oven as the recipe says; start boiling the sugar syrup before you take them out of the oven; make sure the buns are hot when you apply it!

They do actually taste better than they look.....
