We had planned to meet in the Peak District for a walk , an early meet up due to it being Easter weekend . As we drove through between 7.30 and 8.30 we saw that all the roadside parking spaces were full as was the carpark .
Over to plan B , we drove to Chesterfield , had a local walk and ate our picnic in the garden .
We were so pleased to see them and they us .


We had a very hurried return journey as we got a call to say a close family friend had died in the night and was to be buried mid afternoon . We were grateful that the motorway network was fairly quiet and we made quick progress .

It’s been an emotional week .
