From Walla Crag

Walked from the house (didn't want to try parking anywhere), over Walla Crag, Bleaberry fell and High Seat, before dropping back to lakeside and home along the shores of Derwentwater. I know parts of the Lakes this weekend are chaotic, but up in the hills, we saw a total of 6 people. 

Down by the lake was a different matter, we saw a truck, (with trailer) and a group of guys unloading motorised boats and fishing gear. When we returned later in the day, they were setting off in the boats with camping gear to one of the islands. Tried phoning the police, but they simply weren't interested!

Did manage my first open water swim in Derwentwater late afternoon - it was lovely - and although the water is still pretty cold, the sun was shining so drying off at the edge of the lake was fine!
