Sparkling Like Jewels

Long lens and wide aperture to produce sparkly bokeh balls from the light bouncing off the lake surface. So many different compositions to choose from, but I liked this image with the fluffy cattail heads in focus on bent over stalks.

Reeds are a bit like photographing woods in that it's a challenge to find some order in the chaos. The repeated verticals help to give structure against which there are diagonals and in this case the circular bright spots.
