Open gate

After all the dire warnings of weather yesterday it turned out to be a great day, most of which was spent on the allotment. Son No 2 and d-i-l came around and we sat in the sun having coffee and Danish pastries, what's not to enjoy? We have finished all the digging on the allotment which is a very satisfying thought, just need to wait for more settled warmer weather to start planting.

Fresh, sweet strawberries from some far flung country with thick cream after our lamb for Easter supper, delicious. A very pleasing day.

As l type this from the depths of my bed (it is only 6:30am) l can hear the wind rushing over the roof tiles, it is meant to snow at 12 midday so l guess it is an indoor day coming up.
