The Crown
Thats the name of this building in the centre of Haarlem. It's built in 1902 and functions as a grand café currently.
It looks pretty old, but it's actually pretty new compared to the medieval buildings and streets of this historical town. The oldest writing about Haarlem goes way back to the 10th century and describes a tournament that was held on the same square that I took this picture (de Grote Markt)
It's full of history and I'll certainly blip much more of it the coming weeks as I am in this city now. Little fact... Did you know Harlem in NY is called after this Dutch town?
