meet Jack

The new rules for meeting outside allowed the boys, partners and ourselves to get together again. Nick and Liz invited us over for the first BBQ of the year and to meet Jack for the first time. They have been looking for a young dog for a while and after quite a selection process (for them not the dog) they became the proud owners of Jack, a 6 month old black lab just a week ago. The family he left were heart broken to let him go but their daughter had developed an allergy to him and they were keen that he went to a good home. Jack is so well behaved and relaxed around people and has already had all of the basic training, he has settled in really well.
Before the BBQ we walked around Wollaton Park. Jack, with his training lead on and boundless energy, would play fetch ball all day I'm sure. Meeting other dogs was also good for him. A BBQ was a first for him he was intrigued by the cooking smell in his garden. When food was served he just lay down and never bothered us, I hate it when dogs sit watching and waiting for scraps. Well done Jack.
We are looking forward to more fun times with the latest addition to the family.
