Easter Monday

A day of crazy weather - it was cloudy and cold when we woke up, then we had sunshine, followed by more clouds and even some winter showers of large snow flakes, followed again by beautiful sunshine and blue skies. However it has remained very cold all day, so different from this time last year when we were basking in the sunshine outdoors enjoying a BBQ.

It is an ongoing project for me to photograph Xena jumping over something when out on a dog walk - as today was bright with good light in the woods I thought I would give it another go, but ideally I need a long lens which I did not have with me so that is the plan for my next attempt. The extra made me laugh as not only are her enormous ears flapping about like Dumbo but so are her loose jowls!

Gavin came with to get some groceries and then I made soup for lunch. He is now at the driving range while I upload my images for the next camera club competition. We still have three more competitions to go before the end of the season in June. In addition we have our annual exhibition which will be held online this year but using an exhibition type of software where you can virtually walk around the exhibition hall looking at the images.

Last night I slept so badly as I decided to try some of the dark chocolate Lindt bunny I bought myself just before I went to bed - I don't usually eat a lot of chocolate and I have forgotten how much caffeine is in chocolate, especially in dark chocolate - I lay awake until about 3am. Or it could have been my brain being overworked trying to work out the anacronyms and the plot of the latest episode of Line of Duty!
