Easter Monday on the moors

And very cold it was too! Nithering is the word used by Paul the weatherman!

A sprinkling of snow first thing but wonderful blue skies.

We met in the village for a group walk and split into two groups to maintain the rule of 6 and social distancing.

The sun was warm as we went up hill but once on the exposed Catstones Moor above Cullingworth the wind was bitter, my eyes streamed all the way!
Her you can see the second group with the three men in it and two lady blippers, Corinthian Column and Auntie P.
I was ahead with the remaining five ladies, including Wilsden Walker, and two dogs.

We crossed from Catstones to Harden Moor and the St Ives estate via Altar Lane. The pond was very sparkly in the sun and didn’t look too busy at that time.

On the way home we crossed the edge of the Cricket field where everyone was getting the pitch ready for the season. Seems far too cold for cricket at the minute!

A great walk ( nearly 6 miles ) for Easter Monday in good company. Thank you Wilsden Walker for organising.

Back home in time for coffee and a Hot Cross bun!
