Battling the elements
Bit of a contrast day from yesterday - the joys of Scottish weather!
Thank you all for your very kind and very much appreciated kind thoughts for my dad yesterday.
He got home last yesterday afternoon - damage limitation really. Either he's in a very germy and stuffy hospital ward (SO hot and airless) or home in bed being comfy and being pampered. No competition! He is not well and quite breathless but still enjoys a wee chuckle and a hot bowl of home made soup.
I left this afternoon having worked hard on school work from early morning til 2pm. Mother was not impressed! I'm glad I did that.
I also got dad's prescriptions sorted, talked to the GP and made him an appointment, handed in all his old medication boxes - they get delivered monthly in 4 weekly boxes. 8 morning pills, now none at lunch, 5 at tea time and two before bed. Incredible!! Thank goodness for the pharmacy fairies for sorting that lot out for him! What a fab service.
Will possibly return at the weekend. My poor sister has been suffering cellulitis of her big toe and she can't walk, far less drive. She could walk in the house today, so hopefully may be able drive soon - then she can visit and keep them chirpy!
It's nice to be home with my fire - and with all that backlog of work shifted, I feel ready for the rest of the week.
Had a look through Lovers of Light - what fabulous photos! Very impressive and well worth a look. Congratulations if you are nominated.
