Luca (and early snow)
The day started with an early snow shower... and me, peering out of the back bedroom window at a couple of blossoming fruit trees in the garden. And wondering whether that'll be the end of any hopes of fruit setting. We'll see. Photo in extra.
Then we picked Luca up and had him for the day. He is the subject of my 'smooth' mono. This was a fairly grainy image (low light), and I'm not sure that the editing has come through the upload to Blipfoto particularly well :-)
But it's his smooth baby/toddler complexion that I was aiming to capture.
It's been bitterly cold, and we've been in the house most of the day. Richard and I took Luca across to the park early in the afternoon, but he wasn't very keen on staying out; at only 19 months old, still, he's still small enough to really feel the cold - however much we had wrapped him up in warm layers. So many happy hours were spent with the familiar toys: making imaginary cups of tea for assorted soft toys; enjoying some well-thumbed story books; drawing patterns with colouring pens... and scattering Duplo in every corner!
