Lin's Mill Aqueduct (1822)

We headed west for a walk at Almondell. This 'Country Park' is in a sorry state. I've visited all my life, but never seen it in such a state before. The council presumably have a land management plan in progress, but it was a total mess throughout. There are great pressures on the park from encroaching housing estates and the recent announcement of the Livingston east extension will only exacerbate things. 

Fortunately there is still a decent view of this canal bridge once you get away from the main parkland.
