Punky Heron

We had a post-lockdown reunion with L’s best friend from her nursery today (and his mum). Even though they go to different schools now, they remember each other very fondly and still refer to each other as their best friend.

We spent a freezing (but lovely) couple of hours in Kelsey Park. The children ran around together happily in the playground, around the park, feeding the birds and squirrels, etc.

There were loads of herons in their nests on the island in the lake... quite a few scruffy chicks too, as you can see.

We needed a takeaway cuppa from the café there as it even snowed at one point!

A lazy afternoon at home followed.
